Sacred Space » Homepage: "As we grow older and have fewer tasks ahead of us, we have leisure to indulge our memories. We should choose with care the memories we indulge. Even in old age they shape our moods. If we are seduced into what you might call sore memories, resentments and grievances, then people will avoid us. The world is hard enough without doses of other people’s gloom to darken it. But we can lift our own and others’ moods if we linger on the joyful mysteries of our life, on the people we loved and the experiences that we felt as blessings. We don’t want to bore our friends with complacency or boastfulness. Gratitude for God’s gifts is different. It is one of the basic themes of any mature spirituality, and it makes us easy to live with."

Sacred Space

Sacred Space: "1 Corinthians 6:12-15
'All things are lawful for me', but not all things are beneficial. 'All things are lawful for me', but I will not be dominated by anything. 'Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food', and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is meant not for fornication but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. And God raised the Lord and will also raise us by his power. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never!"
